Business and Technology University

Founded in 2016 Business and Technology University in a very short period of time has become a very successful and dynamic university in Georgia. There are a number of reasons that contributed to this success - adopting technology based approaches in the learning process, blended teaching and learning methods, promoting creativity and innovation being some of it. The university’s main directions, principles, values and reforms are carried out dynamically in a systematic, coordinated manner and have placed BTU on a development path leading towards becoming a member of the European Higher Education Area. 

 

BTU offers students innovation in learning by combining two fields of business and technology. The programs offered bring together faculty and professionals from international companies and universities, integrating leading management and academic thinking with innovation. All three levels of studies are available in Business Administration and Technology and Modern Technology, which are current trends among the universities covering the particular fields of Business and Technology.  The above-mentioned programs are oriented on entrepreneurship based learning, encouraging student’s innovative potential, developing their managerial skills that will make alumni competitive on both local and global labour markets.  

 

Based in Silicon Valley Tbilisi, the university benefits with extended web of resources including Laboratories for Cybersecurity, HP, Renewable Energy, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain, Research Centre as well as a Technological Incubator.

 

Caucasus University

The history of Caucasus University goes back to 1998 when with US government funding and in cooperation with Georgia State University, the Caucasus School of Business (CSB) was established. Thus, the implementation of the first western-style education was launched in Georgia. Before long, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. academic programs were started. It was in 2004 when the first private education institution - Caucasus University - was founded on the basis of the Caucasus School of Business.

Currently, Caucasus University has 10 schools (faculties): the School of Business (CSB), the School of Law (CSL), the School of Media (CSM), the School of Technology (CST), the School of Governance (CSG), the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (CSH), the School of Tourism (CTS), the School of Medicine and Healthcare Management (CMS), the School of Economics (CES) and the School of Education (CES).

Caucasus University aims to prepare professionals committed to the values of democracy and ethical norms and in this way contribute to society’s progress and knowledge-sharing. Most of the programs offered by the University are designed by taking into account successful international practices.

CU is Authorized and holds Accreditations for all its programs by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia (EQE). In 2020 Caucasus Tourism School obtained UNWTO TEDQUAL Certificate for Programs in Tourism. Caucasus School of Business is in the final stage of AACSB accreditation. University is a member of many different professional organizations and networks such as UNAI CEEMAN, IAUP, IAU, NIBES, NISPAcee, ELFA, WAAC, BSUN etc.

CU is an internationally active university with a number of students/staff exchanges, double and joint degree programs together with the leading universities worldwide. CU cooperates with 90 universities around the World based on partnership agreements and MoUs.
